I just got an amazing email from a trans friend who has been traumatized by the Executive Orders about #Trans people. She's rightfully scared shitless & started taking pills to help her sleep. The email's subject line gave me some hope for her state of mind. It read: "Fuck this - I've been paralyzed into inaction the last 48 hours. That ends now." She shared the content of an email she sent to our Senators, with a link to send my own. Also, she started a local online trans group. You go, Girl!

So, the trumpster has asked Muck to send a rocket up to "rescue" 2 astronauts from the international space station. They don't need rescuing, according to NASA. They're WORKING up there & they're scheduled to leave the station in March. But the idiots who hang on the dolt's every drool, think he's being a true hero. Hell, it's not like Muck can just pull a rocket out of his ass and send it up, like, tomorrow. It'll probably take at least until March to get things going. SMH

I get how the mango maniac can condemn people to their deaths by decree because he's a true malignant narcissist who's never suffered any consequences in his life, but what about all the people who work for him, who lie and cheat for him? What's their excuse? How can they be okay with yanking healthcare and food from children? Are there that many self-hating cultists in the world? Do they believe what they're spewing? Is evil contagious? I'm glad I'm old.

Waiting for kid #1 to arrive, along with my only grand. A few hours ago #1 told her husband of 17 years that she's leaving him. None of her immediate family is upset by this, but I'm worried about my teenage GD. #1 told me that she was "giddy" when they told her & that scares me. I know she & her dad don't get along that well (he, an authoritarian republican, she a free spirit), but giddy? I'm afraid she's masking her true feelings, & probably can't even sort those feelings out yet.

No cats in the house for the 1st time in yrs. so I could put tinsel on the tree, but I hate the lightweight stuff that sticks to you if you get near. I miss the leaded stuff; it draped so nicely. Yep, I'm from the generation that rode our bikes behind trucks spraying DDT, played with beads of mercury on our palms, had no sunscreen or bike helmets and played lawn darts. It's a wonder that any of us are still around.

TIL that jalapeños have been bred to have less heat than usual. Processors who make salsa wanted to know how spicy their chiles were in order to label the heat level on jars. They demanded jalapeños with the same flavor but very little or no heat so they could ratchit it up with oleoresin capsicum (liquid heat).

This is likely why I could eat a jar of pickled jalapeños w/o burning my face off, or affecting my innards. I wonder if their garden seeds have been messed with, too.

Crazy idea. What if your family doctor and any specialists you see (pulmonary, asthma, neurological, etc) had a way to track what the other doc is doing/recommending. No tech for such a thing, or just no interest? I was given a diagnosis from an endocrinologist that could be exacerbated by what my doc had prescribed, & it needed my pulmonologist to weigh in, too. I shouldn't have to ask each one their opinion. It should all be gathered together to see the situation at a glance. OMG cooperation?

I was sitting outside enjoying the climate change hoax & wondering how long this unholy duo of tRump and mUsk will last. Scaramucci doesn't see it going past 2 scaramuccis before they're erasing tattoos. It's so comforting that the incoming reich has been vetting their people by video ... how they look, how often they praise the orange one, etc. Background checks are a thing of the past. They keep "good people" from getting govt. jobs. What will kill us 1st, climate change or fascism?
