3D Printers of the Fediverse: how do you handle heat soaking for printing styrenes or polycarbonates?
I have a #voron trident with bed fans that gets reasonably toasty (60-62C) but it takes a while to get there. I currently have a heat soak macro built into my PRINT_START
macro but that’s a big waste of time for back to back prints with a hot chamber.
Any tips or tricks?

My current plan is to add a check for whether the chamber is below ~50C and only run the heat soak then.
I get a good bit of “loss” when I open the doors and change the plate, but it comes right back to temp.
This check will be a little false if I reset the print while I’m doing my first preheat of the day, but that’s the exception and I can just try to remember to manually heat soak it a bit if that happens.
