I like open source, I also like companies that have some of their code and projects being worked on in the open... PRs, discussions, fixes, performance, etc... If it isn't core IP and the company is building off open source, it is really great to publicly be contributors and supporters as well.

@danmayer yes, this is what I always strive for. I even explicitly ask customers to open public issues if possible so the community learns too.
