Looking forwards to having a hard copy of collective work regardless of being rejected by photography book publishers.
Yes, self-publishing is a route I can take however I need to become far, far, far more competent with bookmaking and indeed need to do much more experimenting with photograph placement within said books.
I simply cannot do this digitally, it has to be hands on.

@ThatDeafGuy You can also go down the zine route; smaller volumes, printed relatively cheaply in quantity (I think 30 A5 zines from Mixam is probably about the same as one decent-sized volume from Blurb). I'm nerving up to trying this via a zine exchange on Talk Photography...
I guess as you imply (perhaps) hand-made books would be even more satisfying (and potentially command a higher price?).

@ThatDeafGuy Yes, pretty hard to make actual money in that way (as opposed to defray some expenses) AFAICS. I see from other toots you're down the hand-made route anyway.
