I've just ordered two new ribbons for the Commodore MPS-801 printer I bought and stowed last November. At £12/pair, the ribbons cost more than I paid for the printer!

Hopefully my world will be full of brrrrrt...zip...brrrt...zip...brrrt...zip soon.

/I checked, the 801 is Rifa-free, so that's a good start.

So true.

I expect I'll get it all setup and running, print something using Easy script, be satisfied and put it away again.

I still then have a couple of other DM printers hereabouts to test, using a parallel adapter cart for the C64.

Priority #1 this afternoon though...eye op #2 so I can actually see what I am doing!

@rc2014 Yugh! A different op I had in my left eye a few years back gave me a monochrome psychedelic display like the howlaround backgrounds in late 60s TV pop shows - all ripples and swirls.

Hopefully all's good for you now.
