It's great living in the future, where the library will just run out of whatever subscription they had and a e-book I've used for years suddenly just disappears from their catalogue.

@jaranta Aww, that sucks. I guess it doesn't really help at this point, but it is legal in Finland to make offline copies of ebooks for private personal use, right?

@vrtxd That would require bypassing the DRM. Doing that is not legal.

@jaranta True, but I remember years ago there was some discussion over the exact specifics of this, like if technically bypassing the DRM is trivially easy or something like that. Or is this exception only applied to some other media formats?
