Both of my parents served in WWII. My uncle died in battle.

Could we maybe please stop voting for fascists?

Similar here, just my parents lived in Nazi Germany. Dad told the story he never got promoted in the Wehrmacht, because he didn't join the HJ thugs hitting the Jewish kids of the village as a boy. That might have saved his live, because he stuck to driving the military ambulance (Sanka).

Both and grandma never talked about the trauma that they experienced during the war.
