Sometimes I just lack strength to add descriptions to the images I post and sometimes I have strength to add extra descriptions.
How about a feature that allows other people to add image descriptions to other people's posts? OP approval and all that, ofc.

Until that technical feature exists, would it be possible to add just a few words (e.g. "photo of a bee") on your low-energy days, so that blind people aren't entirely excluded? Maybe others could suggest richer alt text in comments, and you could copy it in later.

Yeah, those are good alternatives in the meantime but it seems to me a dedicated solution would be optimal.
