I'm late to the party but have also pitched a tent on Bluesky. Feel free to follow.

Most of the Android crowd seems to have up and left Mastodon in favour of Bluesky, which means it'll be necessary to keep at least one eye on it from time to time.
But man, after being here for a couple of years BS just feels way too noisy and chaotic!

@hth I very much prefer it here. Mastodon just feels calmer and less shouty.

@hth Mastodon as a service is far from perfect, but I do wonder what drives people to a closed, privately owned, for profit service all of a sudden? Is it the momentum/network effect or simply a better UX/service? I’ll just wait for the AT protocol to support federation fully instead. The quirk of rolling my own client/app/interface over the service (Mastodon) just gives me the vibes of the early internet I remember and prefer over central services/companies.
