i got myself a free domain, set up port forwarding on my router, disabled it's firewall, opened ports on server's firewall but cant connect from external (mobile) network by either using public ip or domain. i'm contacting my isp right now but im not sure that will result to something. i cant ping and ssh the server - connection times out. anybody has suggestions? #selfhosting

btw if i get a static ip, bind it to my domain and try to access my server from it's network by this domain (public ip), will it work? how can i make it work?
