Testing #Synology #ActiveBackupForBusiness bare metal restore. Considering that #Apple #macOS 15.3 doesn't work with #ABB, let's see if reverting it back will sort it out (15.2 still works just fine).

Testing on a new “test" #MacMiniM4Pro.

Should be done in about 20 min.

[#]Backup via #10G takes less than 8 min to complete, but restore via Migration Assistant is between 30-50 MB/s.

As of today, the new #Synology #BSM 1.2 is out of beta under the version 1.2-65586 with no changes since the actual beta.

The new #BeeProtect #backup 1-month trial has been extended for 3 more months for anyone that signed up during the beta period.

Stats and numbers don’t lie. #Synology news in 2024 was low and that had a direct impact on the total number of visitors compared to the previous year(s).

In 2024 the daily number of visits was half (on average) compared to ‘23 but still over 450+/- per day, so not bad for a niche site imho.

I'm hoping that there will be more HW coming so there will be more cool stuff to write about.
