Toot

Throwback to when we scored a really cheap Lego Mindstorms (NXT, not EV3 unfortunately, but we were poor back then, as evidenced by the opp-shop-special furniture) and our kid made a line follower robot.

Some white electrical tape on the dark linoleum floors and it worked great!

Thus far it doesn't appear to have been the precursor for a promising career in robotics, but that's okay.

@fwaggle I had the original model of this (the yellow one with the serial IR transmitter for uploading code) and did the same back when I was a kid. was awesome.

@gsuberland Aye, was looking at those when I found this, as I recall. Put in a bid, got lucky, it was way less than it was worth. Was missing a few pieces (the color/light detectors or whatever, was supposed to come with one, didn't have any, bought two from brick-link).

I hope at least it's a core memory for him!
