Not sure if they buffed the faction rep rates in #EliteDangerous but I'm sure I was going to need another few weeks of AFK disco barge runs to rank up.

I set up a smaller machine (because my gaming desktop is far too heavy on the power to leave on over night) and I just turned in today's missions and I'm already 100% to Rear Admiral. I just need to do the strike context mission and I can buy a Federal Corvette thingo :take_my_money:

My wife got mad because her sister and family are coming over from the USA, so her and the kid are putting together a basket of Australian snacks and foods for them when they get here, and my kid put Liquorice Bullets in and I asked it that's because they're American :blobcatfingerguns:

It's that time of year: my wife has once agreed to put on a gingerbread house decorating party for the kiddo (continue to be impressed with kids these days, ain't no way at 14 me or my friends were secure enough in our masculinity to do this objectively fun activity).

So she's in the kitchen swearing about the twelve houses she's baking from scratch, because again, the kits you buy are dogshit.

Throwback to when we scored a really cheap Lego Mindstorms (NXT, not EV3 unfortunately, but we were poor back then, as evidenced by the opp-shop-special furniture) and our kid made a line follower robot.

Some white electrical tape on the dark linoleum floors and it worked great!

Thus far it doesn't appear to have been the precursor for a promising career in robotics, but that's okay.
