Today I cycled 26 miles along the Rochdale and Bridgewater Canals from Piccadilly Basin Manchester to Preston Brook, near Runcorn.

Spectacular industrial architecture coming out of Manchester, especially round Castlefield.

Weather was misty but dry. Apart from tomorrow (Sankey Canal) probably my last ride of the year. I have the winter to write everything up, get the website updated, and plan next year's assault on the Leeds Liverpool. #canals #cycling www.boddyonthetowpath.co.uk
