@Aatube @ukraine Kamala Harris' support for Israel's ongoing slaughter of civilians in Palestine prevented me from voting for her. (I voted for Joe Biden in 2020.)

E.g. voting in Germany for the "Tierschutz-Partei" would be the same as voting for the german Nazis (AfD).

@Aatube @ukraine @Robbe_Duesseldorf It really doesn't. Harris, with her support for Israel's mass killing in Palestine, killed any chance that I would ever vote for her. There are many others who feel the same way.

@Robbe_Duesseldorf Actually, Germany has a good proportional voting system, so iirc you can vote for a third party and not help the AfD.

This would be nice...but in regards to number of seats at the Bundestag it's wrong.

Let's say there are 300 seats. You have 5 different political parties.

They get A=45.1%, B=45.0%, C=4.0%, D=3.9% and E=3.0% at the election.

Means 151 seats for Party A. and 149 seats for party B.

C to E are neglected because of the 5% rule.

If some voters of the parties C to E would have voted for B. then the result in seats would differ a lot...
