Here's a good article from @thetyee which hints at the administrative problems faced by teachers regarding issues that are related to combating racism and prejudices in public schools. The parent quoted in the article offered to speak with the teacher regarding her family's Palestinian heritage but the offer was denied.

@thetyee It seems to me that there are two things at play here: the safety of a specific Palestinian kid in a specific school and generally teaching children that just because some people in Palestine do not support the Jewish state it doesn't mean that all Palestinians want to eradicate Judaism.

More and more, I am thinking that humanity creating organized religion was a mistake. 2/End

@trishalynn @thetyee probably doesn’t help calling it the Jewish state tbh. Like there are many non Jews who also live in Israel.
