spoopy halloween story: Lately, I've been watching a bunch of YouTube videos with people painting Warhammer 40k figures because I find it very relaxing, and it's impressive how well some people can paint those little dudes.
Now Instagram is suddenly showing me Warhammer 40k stuff out of the blue. I'm slightly creeped out by this, considering I've only watched those videos on my laptop using a super locked-down Firefox with privacy add-ons and ephemeral sessions almost everywhere.

@michenriksen IP address 😬
Location
And other lil breadcrumbs 😭
I hope all Devs that help this industry burn in advertising-hell with flashy screens and constant physical popup windows flying in their guts 😏

@yvg Yeah, I'm sure they use tons of little signals that we probably don't even know about. I just imagined that something as crude as an IP address would not be considered precise enough, but maybe they don't care too much, and just shotgun-blast if there's a chance they hit you with some EnGaGiNg CoNteNt. 🤷

@michenriksen Yea I sometimes get stuff recommended my partner is watching, I never interact with it, so it disappears, and then it creeps back a few months later 😑
