Shiori Ito has put out a documentary on her experiences during the whole fiasco that was her trying to have the man who raped her held accountable. Looks like it'll be super worth watching, much like the book was worth reading (it's available in English btw). Some commenters suggest that the documentary may not be getting a release in Japan though, so we'll see if I can get my hands on it.

@mollymay5000 I have the book ready on my ereader, still waiting for me. I should try to make time for it sooner rather than later.

@reading_recluse I read it in the original Japanese shortly after it came out (I think) and it was really hard to read--very worth doing though. She put out a follow-up of sorts a few years ago that hasn't been translated and seemed to be in a better place, but what an awful awful thing. Society must do better.

@mollymay5000 Thanks, that's good to know going in. I'll keep an eye out for the documentary too.
