I spent quite a bit of time on this over the past couple of weeks, but I am pretty happy with the shape gtk-meshtastic-client is in. It supports (that I think) are the most used features in the GUI client, and can be run on a linux mobile device (Like my #librem5 ) or on a Desktop/Laptop!

A big thank you to @alice and the GTK folks, with their guidance I was able to impliment a maps function to show where nearby nodes are!

You can also right click them for more info, but I couldn't figure out how to get that on a print screen.

@kop316, gtk-meshtastic-client works great too on #pixel3a using #postmarketos and #sxmo

First time I use bluetooth on this device and no issue ... yet ;)

@fdlamotte

Awesome! If it isn't too much of a bother, could you have a "How-to"? It would be nice to have that on the README for folks to follow. I have been working it out of Debian, so I know that process is different.

@kop316

Yes, I'll do that ... always happy to help

I've set it up first on my laptops (debian machines) so I can tell the process is not that different ;)

The build procedure is the same, I'll try to retreive which package I had to install, same for python packages.

@kop316

I'll probably start a page about meshtastic on the @postmarketOS wiki ;) gtk-meshtastic-client should make a big part of it ...
