Just added an entry to change tz of the phone to the selected one ...
But for I don't know what reason, setup-timezone fails today (can't install tzdata package).
It used to work ... maybe something to do with the switch to systemd ? Sadly I don't have time to investigate now ...

I was quite pleased with my worldtime menu for sxmo_gshock so I extracted it as a standalone script for #sxmo
https://git.sr.ht/~fdlamotte/sxmo_wt
It just launches a clock for the selected timezone, but its quite handy to be able to pick it from the map thanks to #mepo

Here are the main menus for the sxmo_gshock.py script I'm using on my phone running #sxmo
This script evolved a lot since the last time I wrote about it, I can now get reminders or setup alarms from my calendar using khal and change timezone using #mepo
I'd like to keep it simple, so it should not evolve much from now

Still up
After all it seems the node works, but does not relays positions well (maybe a config issue when there are too many hops 2 in my case)
Made a contact from 1.8km ;) to test the 5.5km I need to be at work (where I have a high point), too bad the node will be down by then

the pole resisted 40knots gusts and the node is still up
I've not modified the xiao to read the bat level, but I think it is ok ... i'll read the bat voltage when the node is down

Tied a #meshtastic node on a six meter pole in the garden ...
This is a XIAO ESP32-S3 node with a gizont antenna
But it works far worse than the same antenna on an heltec v3 in the attic (5.5km vs 100m)
Need to take the node down and investigate. My guess is that the antena is disconnected. Could also be a tuning issue so I'll probably use an heltec next time since it works
For now the node stays there to see how it lasts with solar panel, and if it resists the wind (15knots tomorow, then 30)

It had been a very long time since I had my phone in an "unusable" state ...
And this was my fault ...
[#]postmarketos is really good !

The day started badly with my phone, as I couldn't get why it systematicaly hanged after some minutes ...
This forced me to update it to find a solution (with the recent update of #sxmo I didn't want to break it before)
I finally found what was wrong ... I had accidentaly enabled sleep :( and it made it unstable (now I know ;))
But it took me some time to make calls work again, and adapt my scripts to the new notification system ...
Things seems to be back in place ...

Proud of my last commit ...
Discards calls when connecting to the watch ...
If I'm busy I don't need to take the phone out of my pocket to shut it up ;) Just press lower right button of the watch (this is standard feature of smartwatches, but casios are not smart ;))
Be prepared to be discared if you try to reach me !

And now I can also enable hotspot from the watch ;)
Everything can be configured through one liners in a json dictionary ... #linuxmobile and #sxmo makes this so easy ;)

I can also use it to toggle wifi ...
Don't have to pull out the phone from my pocket to connect with pc ;)

I now can check and access #sxmo notifications from my #gshock watch ;)
https://git.sr.ht/~fdlamotte/sxmo_gshock
It conveniently replaces the notification led I don't have on p3a ...

Just got a (dis-)connected #gshock GBM-2100 model)
Could validate connection to my #linuxmobile phone with https://github.com/izivkov/GShockTimeServer
Going to start writing scripts to integrate it with #sxmo
I already have some ideas on how to use the reminders function to show notifications and calendar events

Yagi will probably need some tuning.
Tried to ping home from work (5.5km) without success ...
But could establish a one-way connection with my new gizont antennas ;)
so half of a failure for today
