Metal detectors at the door to enter a classical-music concert? Really, #TorontoSymphony?

Even better: it's all bullshit security theatre. I have my usual assortment of pocket knife, screwdrivers, keys, etc in my pockets, but when the detector beeped they just waved me through.

To be fair, it's probably Roy Thompson Hall making the rules; the TSO are just clients. But I want them to make noise about it.

I stopped in at the Patron Services desk to register my displeasure, and I plan to send e-mail (they gave me an address) as well. Should check whether RTH get arts funding from the city too.
