2008, I was an intern at a small startup in Fredericton. I had a coworker who had just moved home to New Brunswick from India. Her story made an impression on me.

2020, I moved home from abroad too, and reflected on her story. I quote it in my blog post.

2024, and that coworker Susan Holt has just been elected the first woman Premier of New Brunswick!!

I am just over the moon that New Brunswick has decisively rejected the regressive bigots. Those freaking weirdos. It’s amazing to feel hopeful that the future might actually improve!
