Is there a good alternative to meetup, since their price model killed the platform?

@vaishali First Impression was really good. But somehow finding events here in nrw is somehow a pain. A can search somehow for cities, but not bigger places. For Berlin this works awesome, but here it's sadly unusable for attendes (or maybe it's only on the mobile side) :/
