Yay, with a lot of tinkering I got my frankenstein homeserver down to 55W idle. Note that it has an RTX 3060 that can on demand crunch numbers quite fast and then spin back down.

Could I have gone way lower if I knew what to look for in a motherboard / GPU? Yes, but hindsight's 20/20. I have to make due with what I have.

@tobtobxx good achievement, but still 480 kWh per year, assuming it never un-idles.

@fedops Yeah, ik. That's roughly 100 CHF. Considering that I would've rented a VPS for 60/year anyway but that my server now has a GPU at its disposal, I think it's worth it.
