I'll try to make MariaDB use an alternative memory allocation library. I hope this will prevent out-of-memory events.
I need to restart the database service to apply the changes - maybe more than one restart is necessary. Maintenance mode will be enabled and libranet.de and venera.social won't be reachable during the restarts.

@libranet Done. MariaDB is using jemalloc now instead of the system's default. Let's see if this works better.
