I have changed a setting of the network interface to debug a mail server problem. Now the network is unreachable. :-( I have to do a hardware reset. This takes some minutes. Sorry for the downtime.

The deletion of those accounts and their stored content takes a lot of time and is responsible for the delivery delays and the occasional page loading errors.

I watch the progress and try to adapt the settings to mitigate the performance issues.

I think it will take some days until the jobs are processed.

I had to disable the Nextcloud Passwords app on nc.libranet.de. There's a bug with the latest NC versions and the Passwords app that prevents users from logging in.

I have deactivated/blocked inactive/dead accounts on libranet.de and venera.social – accounts w/o login or w/o any public item in the last 2-3 years.

The status of 100 accounts of type Standard or Soapbox was changed accordingly on both systems.

After a grace time of 4 weeks, these accounts will be permanently deleted.

I'll try to make MariaDB use an alternative memory allocation library. I hope this will prevent out-of-memory events.

I need to restart the database service to apply the changes - maybe more than one restart is necessary. Maintenance mode will be enabled and libranet.de and venera.social won't be reachable during the restarts.

I have enabled SVG support for Imagemagick. I don't know if Friendica is using/processing SVG images but Nextcloud does. So, enabled it anyway. 🙂

I'll switch libranet.de to the current develop branch today.

I have observed lately that the database is growing. Maybe this happens because the expiration of content doesn't work in the current stable version. This has been fixed in the develop branch.

When I switch the branch the database structure will be updated as well. This will take some time.

In order to make this process as smooth as possible I'll enable maintenance mode on venera.social and libranet.de at 12:00 CEST (10:00 UTC).
