One moment, you're chilling, and there's something mildly annoying happening, so you absently swing a back-hand at it.
The VERY NEXT moment there's a god-awfully loud BANG as your knuckle connects with the ear muffs, and your hand hurts and something has happened to your ear and you're confused and ducking and weaving and and at the end of it all, there's still a fly on your face.
