I need to disconnect from news for a bit. I’ve just listened to our NZ Prime Minister waffling through an interview again… and, when he’s on subject matter I know something about, I can see he is completely ignorant and has no idea what he’s saying - like a GPT version of a person, just spouting buzzy vocab that doesn’t make sense - I know he has no clue. Is it like this when he’s bumbling about areas I’m less conversant with too? Infuriating #nzpol

@paulhellyer @akoaroha @simplicitarian John Key was smart but in a very superficial finance-bro kind of way. Luxo seems very similar. Just dissemble your way through life and move on before anyone realises you were the problem. I kind of think a chunk of NZ love this ‘Everyman’ appeal (“look, that could be me!”) Helen, Jacinda, Palmer, probably Ruth & Jenny (whether you liked them or not) were too clever by half for a lot of people.

@irix @paulhellyer @akoaroha Sad 😔 I’m no fan of Key, but I reckon he was a lot more aware of what was going on and able to manage his lackeys than Luxon appears to be.
