@leswarden I was surprised by how well Vance handled the first few questions: nobody eating pets or dangerous childless women with cats*. Then I realized he had memorized answers and was using them with little regard for the actual question. (My high school history teacher warned us about doing that on tests.)

Someone probably told him to stay calm and repeat a canned answer.

• One day we need to address his animal obsession.

@Karen5Lund As they said on the talking-heads last evening, Vance carefully built a house of cards with his slick lying, then absolutely sneezed on it when he wouldn’t answer whether Trump lost the last election. Waltz was floored as was I. A damning non-answer! 🤯 That is going to stick and you’ll hear it all day today through until the election. People, I hope, are tired of the DT chaos.
