I think it'd be cool for there to be an audio player (app?), that allows you to queue music, podcasts, and audiobooks in the same queue.
Would make it easier to go from listening to Billie Eilish, tho some book about mathematicians, to a podcast about Elm or w/e

@athousandcateaus MPD (at least in conjunction with Cantata) can subscribe to podcasts and they get added to the same play queue as music. I guess for audiobooks you'd just have to mix them in with the rest of the music though.
And not quite ideal for either because it doesn't save playback position for anything other than the currently playing song (MPD allows specifying a playback position, but you'd have to find a client that actually saves that information per-song on its own using the “sticker” database)

@nytpu oh interesting. I always forget that there are other MPD clients than ncmpcpp. Also am surprised one supports podcasts.
I think for me the main consideration would probably be mobile though because it's where most of my listening actually happens (it's kind of the main thing a mobile device is good for tbh).
