Seems there's a lot of noise about the impact two mines in NC could have on silicon chip manufacturing

But as far as I can tell there are other mines / quarries producing quartzite for chips e.g. https://www.elkem.com/about-elkem/worldwide-presence/norway/elkem-tana/

Looks like there's High Purity Quartz available in plenty of other countries too
