because windows 11 is windows 11, it simply refuses to open up start menu sometimes. Just had to open up ms word by typing winword.exe in the run dialog. Glad that at list this still works.

@jakobrosin Actually you can leave off the ".exe." Just type in "winword" in there and you're good to go. I know that wasn't the point, but it saves you 4 characters. lol

@MamaBraille @jakobrosin Same goes for outlook and if you want to get quick to the list of installed programs just type apwiz.cpl in that same run dialog and you are good to go.

@vitallie @MamaBraille @jakobrosin And now, a random info dump of stuff you can do in the run dialogue nobody asked for:

If you want to launch remote desktop connection, type mstsc. You can change the sound settings with the mmsys.cpl control applet; there are many of those. The run dialogue runs stuff from your home folder, so you can type, for example, .\documents\test.txt to open a file called test.txt. You can type drive letters like C: or D: to open those. You can place shortcuts in your user folder and run it by typing it's name, for example I made a shortcut called do that opens my to-do text file. Can you tell I love the run dialogue yet?

@BrailleScreen @vitallie @MamaBraille this is absolutely fantastic. I love run dialogue. The fastest way to launch stuff sometimes.

@jakobrosin @BrailleScreen @vitallie @MamaBraille Microsoft Powertoys run util is apparently even better, with autocomplete and stuff like that. ANd then there's KeyOP, which is like run dialog but with hotkeys, in layers! I personaly use a single master KeyOp key and then put everything under that, so it doens't have to conflict with something like cake. Although I can't find the damn download link now @daygar
