So this is a hard one.

If you've been following me you've seen the recent posts about my mom's health deteriorating after 20+ years and 5 (!!) stage 4 cancers.

I managed to pull together a trip to see her with my Daughter Lilly and spouses on Sept. 11.

Sadly she succumbed to cancer on the early morning of Sept. 7.

I've been on automatic for the last week as I deal with the continuing fallout.

Since Lilly had already cleared her schedule we hastily re-arranged her flight to come to California instead so we could grieve together.

There's a lot to say about all of this, but for reasons that so many people appear to understand (and my gratitude for this literally has no words big enough) it's going to be awhile.

I consider myself lucky; there is not much of any import unresolved between myself and my mother ere she passed.

It still hurts like hell. 😫
