As a father of a daughter (19) and the son of a woman who wasn't allowed to hold a mortgage nor credit card in her name when our NYPD dad abandoned my and my 3 younger sisters when I was 8.... in 1972, you best well believe I sure AF have.

I recently ran into something that elevates the "found footage" genre to a new (and very freaking weird in all the best ways) level; #Backrooms.

It apparently started in 2019 after a very creepy picture of am interior space was posted to a chan board; it has since led to several dozen extremely un-nerving psychological thriller vids of varying skill levels; I spent several hours last night viewing this nightmare fuel and damned if it doesn't get under your skin. 😰

Since Lilly had already cleared her schedule we hastily re-arranged her flight to come to California instead so we could grieve together.

There's a lot to say about all of this, but for reasons that so many people appear to understand (and my gratitude for this literally has no words big enough) it's going to be awhile.

I consider myself lucky; there is not much of any import unresolved between myself and my mother ere she passed.

It still hurts like hell. 😫

So this is a hard one.

If you've been following me you've seen the recent posts about my mom's health deteriorating after 20+ years and 5 (!!) stage 4 cancers.

I managed to pull together a trip to see her with my Daughter Lilly and spouses on Sept. 11.

Sadly she succumbed to cancer on the early morning of Sept. 7.

I've been on automatic for the last week as I deal with the continuing fallout.

According to @Posibilities_Penguin the MAGA bloviators are attacking ABC for having the temerity to fact check Drunken Jerk Jesus at the debate. They say it gave Harris an “unfair advantage”.

Gotta love cafe press!

I should cook up a version of this for other things. I'm already getting requests. Though with only 83(!!) days until the election they'll become odd collector's items sooner than most. Certainly a lot faster than my Bill Clinton Playing the Sax shirt from... sheesh, was that really nearly 30 years ago??

Anyway, will be applying to the cars. Especially the Model 3 I got in 2019. 🤦🏼‍♂️
