So, @streetcomplete when filling in the questions using the Street Complete app, where are the additional details such as; the road surface, street lighting etc viewable? I can't see such details on the OpenStreetMap website or the OrganicMaps app, even with overlays... So, where are they viewed? What's the point in filling these details in? Are they collected just in case someone develops an app that decides to show this info maybe? #openstreetmap #OrganicMaps

@healthiswealth OSMand can display and use this data. You can enable it beung displayed on the map, and it also shows a breakdown of surfaces during navigation.
It also has navigation options like "avoid unpaved roads" which rely on surface information.
MapComplete.org also displays this info when selecting a way in various of its views.
I'm sure theres more tools out there using it. Its just the official site which hides it behind inspecting the tags.

@laund @healthiswealth I think the "Straßenraumkarte" takes the cake in terms of features rendered.
The technical preview is limited to a small area in Berlin with static data, thought.

@streetcomplete @laund Thats' a lot of data, even down to the benches in the parks and even the trees. The car symbols representative of parking spaces available I assume?

@healthiswealth @laund yes those represent the parking lanes you can map with SC as well.
Notice the manhole coveres on the road surface. Took me a while to notice them. ;)

@streetcomplete @laund That's some dedication right there! Was it a single user do you know? Or a community effort? (Not at my PC to check atm).

@healthiswealth @laund that's a community effort to showcase the renderer.
If you want to explore something similar, just for your area, have a look at osm2street:
https://a-b-street.github.io/osm2streets/#1.31/0/0
That gives some nice renderings for lanes, turn lanes, crossings etc. and helps to debug them.
