Sitka's recent internet outage provides another example of how resilience can work in communities when infrastructure fails.

Specifically:

1. The town doesn't immediately descend into lawless chaos. In no case has anyone mentioned that a gun was useful.

2. Resilience centers (mostly libraries, but also some individual homes) provide missing services to the community, and then become places where the community meets and connects as people.
