After going 'viral' here yesterday, 3 take aways: 1 I stated my DNS=OK, and yes, the DNS was indeed configured correctly (a surprise to many) 2 first time in a long time I got flak for caving in to the system. Normally I'm seen as too much of an activist hahaha so that was refreshing 3 people seemed to think I posted my complained only hours after changing my DNS. That was surprising to me. Anyway. Still have to ask everyone to whitelist me but I can't reach them...

@meliimming FYI. This morning I popped into my local Uni library (I have an alumnus card) and out of curiosity tried to log into my Protonmail account. The domain was completely blocked. Couldn't even look at the Protonmail website. Checked with the guy on the IT helpdesk - and it was blocked for him too. I have no idea if it is blocked across the whole of JANET (UK) or just this university (Huddersfield).

@llafgorf Wow, that is harsh

@meliimming Yeah - someone somewhere definitely doesn't want people using Proton. But I could get into gmail, and also the webmail of a small UK ISP that hosts an account for a domain I've owned for decades - so the Proton block does seem quite targeted.
