Today's hardware announcements look interesting, but man I really wish Apple would switch to an every-two-years schedule for phone upgrades.

Every year puts enormous pressure on the software engineers, and IMO it's starting to show. So many headline features now get pushed back to .1, .2 and .3 releases instead of .0. Shipping new hardware every year also feels really environmentally wasteful.

@davedelong I wonder if more people would upgrade if their phones were updated every other year or on the random cadence that is Mac
