Okay so I've been influenced by a comment I saw in a YT video for this question, but... Name at least 5 games/mods/source ports/similar (or more if you want) that you would always want to have on your PC (all OSes, also has modest system requirements) in the event that you lost access to the internet for a few days. Also, note that the downloads must have an independent installer, so nothing that needs a client like Steam to install!

@stormkeepergu Can I name games that might be on Steam but I got DRM-free'd as backup because I do so with every title I own? 😁

@Natanox Hmm... I'm not sure atm, but keep a hold of that list as I might make an extra post that allows those games to be listed! I too get backups from non-official sources (like the Internet Archive), if I bought the game electronically via Steam, GOG, etc... If that's what you meant?

@stormkeepergu Well, no need to get backups for GOG games given they offer DRM free offline installers. But yeah, "unofficial" backups for Steam Games, EA titles etc. with crack if necessary. After all we shouldn't have to get comfortable with the idea of not owning our games anymore, ain't that right Ubisoft?! 😁

@Natanox Yeah, I was specifically including GOG under that definition, as well as also Itch and Zoom-Platform, plus any others that are similar, but gotta keep the character count under control on other platforms!

I do this too with my games, especially as I have older systems that would fare better with the original media, or images! Plus, saving time on backing up my physical media, and instead focusing on stuff that isn't backed up at all!
