Does anyone know what kind of wasp this is? They seem to be making themselves at home under the eves of my allotment hut.

I think looking at images of that, the broken band at the top of the abdomen is ticket and also the markings on the back are 4 yellow spots than these 3. Thank you for playing!

@econads hmm.. yeah I wasn't seeing EXACT matches but figured that was fairly close. You don't think they could be variations? Saw another I definitely don't think it was, as the stripe pattern was inverted.

@jake4480 hmm that's a point. I saw an article with 3 or 4 similar common wasps, but none of them were a match. There's a whole cluster, maybe 5-10, which just sit under the eves of the hut, but so far they don't bother me. Some article implied they might be near the end of their lives since it's getting colder.
