@ThatDeafGuy It's a chaotic, loud mess. Still photography - the only thing i ever cared about there - has been relegated to the back burner. It's sad to see what it's become.

After a few years off the platform, I signed back up for about 30 minutes. I couldn't stomach it, and deleted the new account as fast as I could.

@analogfusion I need to stay on as it, sadly, keeps me up to speed with photographic galleries, exhibitions and what the photobook publishers are doing..... can't win. I'm hoping that https://www.fotoapp.co keeps gathering momentum once it goes fully public. Whether the publishers & galleries open accounts there however remains to be seen, none of them made any effort with Mastodon so I'm not hopeful.

@ThatDeafGuy I'm a longtime Flickr subscriber. It doesn't get a lot of love in the era of social media, but there's still terrific work posted there on a daily basis. I'm on the site pretty much every day.

I'm not shooting professionally anymore, so I'm happy to avoid the insanity of Meta products.
