I'm getting so sick of apps as a subscription.

I was looking around to see what was available for epub readers, and one of the recommendations people made was BookFusion.

The app download page doesn't say that a subscription is required to use the app, though it does mention making an account on their server is required. Red flag, but I carried on... In order to even find out the price, I'd need to submit personal details.

So I left a 3 star review saying they needed to be upfront about costs.

I received a whiny response that they need to pay for the online storage needed to store all my books. I have storage, but the ONLY way to use their app is to store your books on their server.

Only way.

I guess I stick with Lithium, Moon+, and the fucking Kindle app until I figure which sucks least.

Be more upfront about limitations and

prices. Edit: I have no problem with charging. I have a problem with not BEING UPFRONT ABOUT IT.I had to download and sign up to find out how much I'd have to pay for storage. Instead of being able to read files on my phone or from my own storage. Not every damned thing has to be a subscription. Make a product and I'll pay for it. I've updated my rating as well based on your reply.

Bookfusion's devs are pissed off in the Play Store. "WE PUBLISH PRICES!"

It took me ages to find them.

The prices are shitty.

@xinit I swear actual usable hardware design is a labor of love anymore. Everything else is the landfill component of a failed web service business plan.
