@maria @flaminghydra I read Ehrenreich and felt an ache for the English working class, and am grateful for it.
Starting at age 50 I ran 15 marathons (“run” may be inaccurate; sub-4hrs was a great marathon for me) and can report that running was a major aid to thinking. I solved many of my job’s challenges by pounding feet against street and trail.
Bicycling OTOH is an engagement in staying upright and alive pierced at instants by the brilliance of the world.
