@kellybodwin Looks like someone mentioned Python package management to that poor snake.

And also poor Julia! Although at least it is put on the level of umassuming SQL who does not even care if it is there or not ...

@mario_angst_sci HAHAHAHA so accurate, that is 100% the face I make when I get a numpy version eeror for the 600th time. 😂

Julia has been "the next big thing in Data Science" for like 8 years... I know plenty of people do use it, but I wonder when it will tip into mainstream?

@kellybodwin yes, I have the same impression... but I have to say the people using it I know are very dedicated to it so I guess that gives it some staying power at least. I would love to give it a proper shot one day but it is probably rather more Python (due to NLP and web-ish stuff) for me in the future 🙁.

@kellybodwin if I had to make a bet, the way for Julia to go more mainstream might be the (sizable, at least here) Matlab audience.
