I found a ghost pipe in my front yard today. What a nice surprise. Making zero effort to keep weeds at bay pays off once again.

I wasn’t very happy with the quality of the quick snapshot of my ghost pipes that I took while mowing yesterday. Today I did better.

The USFS has a concise description of how these herbaceous plants that lack chlorophyll survive.
