What motivates you to post the stuff you post on social media?
I’m always like „I finally played this old game, I should post that“ and then „nah, who cares?“. Happens with basically everything I do.

@MetalSnake When I write about really niche or boring stuff that I don't think many people care about, I put it behind a Content Warning; I mostly use CW as a subject line.
Sometimes I have an observation or insight I want to write down but often it's the otherwise mundane "I did this today" post.
Let's run with your example "I played this old game". Great! What made you decide to play it today? I saw it on sale in Steam; it's been sitting in my unplayed pile forever and today's the day; I just discovered it; I was reminded of it somehow and decided to revisit it. It doesn't need to be earth-shattering, just a little about why you're playing it now can add a lot.
There's also your reaction to playing it. If it's the first time you've played it, what were your expectations and how did it miss, meet, or exceed them? That adds context that helps people understand why or how much you enjoyed playing the game. A negative review is a thousand times better if you explain what you expected

@MetalSnake Again, you don't have to write anything big. Just adding a little of the Why - expectations and impressions, discoveries - provides some depth to the post. It's easy to get stuck on the What, think it's boring, and quit writing.
Hope this helps a little. It takes some practice and effort to add depth but it makes a world of difference when you do.
