Here at the Dutch Thematic DCC #SocialSciences & #Humanities, we are running a transparent, communities-involving process: We invited everyone who is eligible to send in project idea, to be turned into proposals for the NWO (Dutch Research Council) TDCC 'Challenge' call. Next, we shared the ideas we receive through our website and all submitters present their idea in short online meetings.

I'm looking forward to a whole day of online pitches of project ideas tomorrow, 12 June 2024. 📢
It will be a long day for us, but luckily you as the audience can tune in and out for those ideas you want to hear more about.
Here the timetable for the presentations!

@NilsArlinghaus hi Nils, is the idea that people interested in a specific project can then become a part of that project, such as with some NWO calls nowadays or the COST calls? We don't fully understand what is meant by 'are you interested in a project' I'm afraid

@meliimming Hi Melanie, thanks for your question. No, this is not limited to becoming involved yourself. "Interested in a project" could simply mean you are curious about it, have thoughts about it, or have questions about it, e.g. because it is relevant to your area of work/expertise.
This may lead to involvement in the project, but the presentations are just as much about giving people in the various communities a chance to have their voices heard! 🌸

@NilsArlinghaus yes, I understand that that is helpful for the projects, but for people who join the meeting tomorrow it is important to know they cannot only bring their input, but also get something out of it. If it is possible to get involved and get some funding for other parties, there is a clear incentive to join tomorrow
