okay, yep, another disk space issue on our instance overnight, now resolved. we need to actually configure log rotation.

@irenes One line config change if your logs are in journald:

@angdraug thanks, yeah, there's an analogous nix option that sets that for us, we just have to deal with some tangentially related nix problems to deploy it...
