Help! I don’t want to see flashing emojis unless I allow them, like videos with sensitive content. How can I disable them?

PSA if you use flashing emojis your post is inaccessible and if they’re in your profile name your entire account is inaccessible

If you're using your server's website:

1. Click on ⚙️ Preferences

2. Scroll down and tick the option "reduce motion in animations"

3. Click "save changes" button

It it's an app, there should hopefully be something similar in its settings menu.

Hey, I am really really sorry, I was wrong about the instructions I replied with earlier. I mixed up two different settings.

You can switch off autoplay for GIFs by doing the following, if you're using your server's website:

1. Click on ⚙️ Preferences

2. Scroll down and UN-tick the option "autoplay GIFs"

3. Click "save changes" button
