I regularly see complaints about posts that include images without alt text, especially images of textual content, often screenshots of some other site (you all know the quote by now I guess?).

My take? I think this is the result of being the path of least resistance on a mobile device - hit two buttons, flip to fediverse app, tap paste, add your words.

My challenge: How does a fediverse developer make the better outcome the easiest option? Not Google, not Apple, us.

@phlash @ivory does a pretty good job of this already, by reminding me that any images I attach need alt text and providing a way to scan the image for text to add.
